DAY BY DAY
Depart Dunedin and, subject to permits, explore the Snares, Auckland or Campbell Islands for endemic seabirds, penguins, megaherbs and sea lions.

Use navigable leads for Zodiac cruising, landings and historic-site observations in the Ross Sea, with the sequence set by sea ice.

Cross the Amundsen and Bellingshausen sectors for ice shelves, giant icebergs, whales and seals, supported by lectures on the West Antarctic Ice Sheet.

Seek landings, penguin colonies and Zodiac cruises in glacial bays, adding a biologically rich finale to the transcontinental voyage.

Cross the Drake Passage with final seabird and whale watches, then enter the Beagle Channel and arrive in Ushuaia.
