Few voyages are defined so completely by navigation. From Svalbard, the ship heads into the Arctic Ocean and works through constantly changing leads, pressure ridges and pack ice towards 90° North.
The pole is the expedition objective, not an unconditional promise. Progress depends on ice movement, machinery, weather and safety, and the master alone decides whether and when an arrival or safe activity on the ice is possible.

Southbound Through the Ice
Turn south through a newly changing ice field, continuing lectures and patient watches for naturally occurring wildlife.

Return to Svalbard
Approach Svalbard and disembark in Longyearbyen according to the confirmed operational and flight schedule.
